As I write this, Lauren (PR and marketing) is busy taking photos of our Christmas Sets. (The photos look gorgeous so far, and are really doing our lovely skin care sets justice.)
This has been my domain for so long that I am watching in sheer awe, with a healthy does of glee mixed in at the fact that I don’t have to do it anymore – so lovely to have a creative brain taking on some of the creative expression of Exuberance. I can now begin to implement all the ideas that have been mulling around in my brain for some time now!
The sets that she is taking photos of will be going live in the next several days..among the sets, my favorite is our organic shower set which is a luxurious, skin-softening combination of products, with an uber-soft Bamboo Body cloth. The set contains our sparkling champagne-scented “Power of Pink” sulfate-free shower gel, and our decadent, moisturizing “Seeing Truth” Shea Butter exfoliant. A perfect gift for the health concious, beauty seeking, exuberant women in your life! They smell fantastic, and the shower soap is the only one I have ever used that actually leaves your skin softer after use. Most soap dries out your skin and cuts your natural moisture barrier..this one doesn’t … it cleans without disturbing your skin’s equilibrium, making it a unique product.
The two products in this set regularly retail for 63.00, and we have priced the set at 49.00 which is a huge holiday savings…(and the bamboo cloth is free!) Happy Holidays!
I am in Love, love love with Ali De Bold of chickadvisor.com today. She started chickadvisor.com from scratch, and has grown it into this amazing company (visit the site, it rocks). I just got off the phone with her, and as usual she was full of support and encouragement. I learned today that she is just about to do a speech at an event which is honoring chickadvisor as one of the top new online sites of the year. Go Ali!
To continue the Ali-love-fest…when we spoke last time she made a point about wanting to make a positive difference – to have a life that mattered – and I second that with every deepest fibre of my being “a life that matters” what a completely inspiring phrase!
On a completely separate note – we are working on press and pr in the coming months, and have some completely fun things coming up – going into the ‘look at me’ phase of exuberance…or, the ‘let’s share what we are doing, and see if anyone is interested”. So far response has been great – excited to see it continuing!
We have just finished finalizing our Exuberance Facials, and I wanted to share our mini-facials details. They are a perfect at-home skin care treatment to help your face look its best while giving you a moment to relax and look after yourself. Read on!
Our Inspired Facials…
are a window to our deeper, delicate hearts and our truest, boldest selves, and in every woman’s face, there is beauty. An Exuberance facial is a moment for a woman to celebrate her own unique beauty. It is a time for her to indulge in self-care with a luxurious product that looks after her body in a healthy, nurturing way. It is a series of moments when she can recognize and act on the knowing that she is worthy, perfect, beautiful. It is a physical act that encourages and defines self-care in her life.
Exuberance facials are potent treatments that give her skin powerful and redefining vitamin treatments, anti-aging benefits, pure organic ingredients, and lush and intensely hydrated skin. It is the beauty that resides in her at all times – made manifest.
Exuberance At-Home Mini Facial
Step 1: Cleanse with Radiance: massage into skin. Rinse off with sponges or water. Green tea and vitamins A, B, C and E deep clean without leaving a residue.
Step 2: Tone with alcohol-free Believe toner, sweeping upwards with non-bleached cotton pads. Sugar Maple, Sweet Tangerine and vitamin C refreshes skin. Natural skin care ingredients benefit all levels of the skin.
Step 3: Moisturize with She’s So Lovely. The pure rose oil in She’s So Lovely has an aromatherapeutic calming effect and is antiaging. If skin is dull or very dry, use Victory is Ours. Exuberance moisturizers fight the signs of aging and repair and protect from environmental damage.
Step 4: Eye Treatment. Dab a very small amount of Ultimate Perfection gently around eyes for an effective eye care treatement.
You’re done! Your skin will look glowing and rejuventated. Simple, concise, and guaranteed to make a positive difference in your skin! Print this instruction sheet out and visit our skin care ’shop now’ section now to get started!
We just finished writing the protocol for our ‘Exuberance Organic Facial” I’m quite fond of the intro, so thought I’d share. Here it is…
Exuberance Inspiration:
Your outer face is a reflection of your inner self, and as such, in every woman’s face, there is beauty. Our faces are a window to our deeper, delicate hearts and our truest, boldest selves.
An Exuberance facial is a moment for a woman to celebrate her own unique beauty and her personal possibility. It is a time for a woman to indulge in self-care with a product that looks after her body in a healthy, nurturing way. It is a moment when she can recognize and act on the knowing that she is worthy, perfect, beautiful. It is a physical act that encourages and defines self-care in her life.
It is also a potent treatment that gives her skin powerful and redefining vitamin treatments, antiaging benefits, pure organic ingredients, lush and intensely hydrated skin in a nurturing, gentle way. It is the beauty that resides in her at all times – made manifest.
Back in History… I’m in my grandfather’s basement. He’s kindly set up an electric hotplate with two burners on top of the freezer for me. I’ve recently decided I was going to make my own lotion, a step I decided to take because I didn’t like the lotion that the private label companies had available. It was either synthetic and unhealthy, or organic with a gross feel.
No history, no background in lotion. No idea about ingredients. I find a recipe, do some adaptations. I stir, whiz, add, mix. I add my own flair to my blend, in the form of rosehip tea, which is supposed to be good for the skin. I heat and mix and blend and stir. I’m almost done.
Picture the creamiest, most beautiful lotion you can imagine…it’s lux, deluxe, rich and creamy. It looks like a mix between smooth cream and rich butter. Yum.
Now picture the exact opposite. Picture lumpy, crumpy, curdled, with a light pink watery film floating on the surface like pond scum from my ill-chosen tea infusion. You’ve got my very first attempt at making lotion. Not discouraged, I dipped my hand in and slathered it on…at which point my Grandpa came down the stairs and said “Ew, what’s that smell?” It took another year, a sister who was better at following recipes than I and a chemist to finally create our body lotion recipe. Which is now fantastic. Good thing I kept at it…how far we’ve come!
